A few miles back from the inner shore of the Crucible, fields of these purple flowers bloom briefly just after the spring sunrise (the Crucible is completly within the Solar Circle). The blooms must be harvested within a few hours after opening in order to make the potent eye medicines used by the inhabitants to cure many forms of blindness.
